A skirty for Claire, knitted in the Butterflies yarn that I got last week. I’ve had this pattern for ages, but this is the first time I have knitted it. I love how the pleats formed. I still need to add the soaker underneath, and then it will be ready to lanolise and post out.
Some new yarn… April 22, 2009
I dyed this last week: it’s BFL aran and I have named it Lynden, after my new nephew who was born recently, 6 weeks early. Here is the little lad:
And this is the yarn…
This was one of my woolly deliveries this week. It will be in the shop when I get around to it! It is BFL chunky from Lizzie’s Wonderland, and the colourway is called Butterflies.
Rainbow longies for Claire April 17, 2009
These are a perfect example of just how unpredictable hand dyed variegated yarn can be. I think they are the most unusual ones I have seen let alone knitted! I used Krafty Koala’s BFL aran in Neon Rainbow.

More for Joanna… and more fibre April 2, 2009
This time it’s a pair of shorties, in Krafty Koala’s “Kali” colourway. There was only just enough yarn to finish this job.
This fibre is Merino, and the colourway is called “Rusted”. It was supposed to be something else entirely, but happy accidents happen, and I love it!
